Our History

Decimal Foundation Schools (DFS) is a vibrant school Environment established by the Emelife’s family who are devoutly dedicated to good education. The school was established and started with its first pupils on 12th September 2011 at No 11 Chief JNC Emelife Crescent, Umukabia Estate, Amawbia, Anambra State, catering to a community with a vision to create and see their children in a conducive, world-class and equipped learning environment.
Today, this great citadel of learning has a full population of pupils. In the course of the decade, this institution has sent forth lots of pupils who fly high the flag of this school all over the state and Nigeria.
The Name “DECIMAL” signifies:
- D - Discernment - showing insight and understanding of our world and her needs.
- E - Exceptionality - unusually excellent; extraordinary in our pedagogy and approach to teaching and learning.
- C – Comprehension – grasping the nature, significance or meaning of something.
- I – Ingenious – having or showing an unusual aptitude for discovering, inventing or contriving our environment.
- M – Magnificence – exalted in place; impressive to the mind or spirit through our ambience.
- A - Adept – very skilled; proficient in teaching and continuous professional development.
- L - Literacy – proficiency in the art of reading, writing, speaking, listening and moral etiquette.
The school is located in a serene neighborhood highly promotive for learning with experienced and seasoned board members running its operations to ensure institutionalization and continuity. In nurturing the hearts and minds of our priceless jewels, we are continuously raising academically sound-minded and self-independent pupils, nurtured towards being relevant to the society and world at large. There is a very high moral standard in the school because we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure we complete the tripod of education.
